TUNKHANNOCK (AP) – Police are looking for a robbery suspect who stole $1.16 from a drive-thru customer at a Pennsylvania McDonald’s, then fired a shot at the victim when the two encountered one another a short time later.

Jake Coggins tells WNEP-TV he had the money in his shirt pocket as he waited to buy an ice cream Monday evening in Tunkhannock Township. That’s when the driver of a silver Honda Element in front of him got out, walked back and demanded the money before driving off.

Coggins didn’t have a cellphone so he drove to a state police barracks report the theft, when he saw the vehicle again – and the suspect saw him.

That’s when Coggins tells police the suspect pulled a gun and fired, shattering his car window.

Police haven’t identified the suspect.
