Trespass charge: William Smith, 65, of 605 rear Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, will be charged by Charleroi Regional police with defiant trespass after he allegedly returned to the Dollar General store Tuesday afternoon after he was told he was not permitted in the business. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Larry Hopkins.

Assault alleged: Shakal Charles Brooks, 21, of 134 Thompson Ave., Donora, is charged by borough police with simple assault and harassment over allegations he grabbed his girlfriend, Rachel Becerra-Cintra, and punched her in the face about 1 a.m. June 14 at his residence, court records show. District Judge Larry Hopkins issued the case in a summons Monday.

Man charged: William James Fleming, 65, of 22 S. McKean Ave, Donora, is charged by borough police with accidents involving damage to an unattended vehicle and driving under the influence of alcohol, court records show. Police were sent to investigate Fleming because he allegedly was staggering in the middle of the street outside his home about 4:20 p.m. June 10. Police said they noticed damage to the passenger side of his pickup truck but were unable to find further evidence of an accident. District Judge Larry Hopkins issued the charges in a summons Wednesday.

Man charged: Matthew Earl Diethorn, 50, of 422 May St., North Belle Vernon, is charged by city police with possessing a small amount of crack and six stamp bags of heroin during a traffic stop about 6:20 p.m. Saturday at Schoonmaker Avenue and Oneida Street, court records show. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued the charge Tuesday in a summons.

Theft alleged: Ashley Brye Pierson, 28, of 313 Second St., Vestaburg, is charged by township police with theft over accusations she stole a bicycle rack from Walmart, 100 Sara Way, and fraudulently returned it to the store for a $105 gift card about 1:30 p.m. May 12, court records show. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued the charge in a summons Tuesday.

Theft, trespass charges: Zackary Andrew Thomas, 25, of 67 Interstate Alley, Claysville, was charged this week by South Strabane police with theft, defiant trespass and criminal mischief after he allegedly entered a home on Migyanko Lane and stole a television set. He and another man allegedly forced their way into the home, damaging a door and door frame. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Drug charges: Jermaine Jamont Thurston, 29, of 1202 Crest Ave., and Jerika Marie Lopez, 25, of 1015 Lower Meadow Ave., both of Charleroi, are charged by Charleroi Regional police with drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia stemming from the alleged discovery of two stamp bags of heroin during a traffic stop about 2:30 p.m. April 8 at Grandview Way and Pennsylvania Avenue, court records show. District Judge Larry Hopkins signed a warrant Monday for the arrest of Thurston, who also faces a charge of drug possession with intent to deliver. Lopez will receive her charges in a summons.
