Weather service announces flash flood watch for Southwest Pennsylvania

The National Weather Service has announced a flash flood watch for Southwest Pennsylvania from 2 a.m. Friday through 2 a.m. Saturday.

Rainfall amounts of up to 2.5 inches are possible, according to NWS.

The watch is also in effect for portions of western Maryland, northern West Virginia and eastern Ohio.
