Police Beat June 23
Prostitution charges: Charles Thomas Work, 49, of 901 Wayne St., Canton, and Ashley White, 35, of Eighty Four, were charged by state police with prostitution stemming from a June 15 incident at Work’s home. He allegedly picked up White at Hall Avenue and Church Street in Washington and made arrangements to pay her for a sex act. When he wanted more, but did not have enough money, she refused, police said. He allegedly punched her and pushed her, and she allegedly hit him in the head with a lamp. Work also was charged with simple assault and harassment. White reportedly told a trooper she did not initially call police because she was engaged in prostitution. Work was placed in Washington County jail on a parole detainer. Charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Assault alleged: Matthew Dean Saxton, 40, of 64 Skylark Drive, Canton, was arrested Wednesday by state police on charges of simple assault and harassment for allegedly punching his father in the back and pushing him to the ground during a confrontation at their home. He was arraigned before District Judge David Mark and placed in Washington County jail on $2,500 bond.
Theft arrest: Alysia Prosser, 32, of 608 Monongahela Ave., North Charleroi, was arraigned Wednesday before District Judge David Mark on a felony charge of retail theft filed against her by Charleroi Regional police. She is accused of stealing items May 30 from Dollar General, 514 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi. Prosser was placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
Train hits truck: An unoccupied pickup truck parked on railroad tracks on Besco Street, near Main Street, was hit by a westbound train June 8, state police said. The truck was spun into a ditch. Police did not indicate who owns the vehicle.
Son arrested: Christopher M. Dimmack, 41, of 333 Ridge Road, Avella, was arrested Wednesday by state police on charges of theft and unauthorized use of a vehicle after he allegedly took his father’s 2015 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck without permission. He was arraigned before District Judge David Mark and placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.
Woman charged: Lisa Marie Meehan, 28, of 116 Chess St., Monongahela, is charged by city police with tampering with evidence over allegations she flushed a syringe and empty or full stamp bags of heroin down a toilet before officers responded to a reported drug overdose in her residence about 12:45 a.m. Monday, court records show. District Judge James Ellis issued the charge in a summons Tuesday.
Assault charge: Chase Alexander O’Brien, 19, of 617 Lincoln St., Monongahela, is charged by city police with simple assault over allegations he shoved his girlfriend, Kaitlynn Greyshock, down a flight of stairs about 1:35 p.m. Monday at his residence, court records show. O’Brien is in Washington County jail on unrelated charges, pending his arraignment in this case before District Judge James Ellis.
Assault alleged: Shawn Edward Felicetty, 46, of 3100 Stilley St., Clairton, is charged by Monongahela police with aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment and driving with a suspended license, court records show. Police accuse Felicetty of striking his girlfriend, Chantly Couchenour, in the head, causing her to fall to the floor and become unconscious, and also assaulting her mother, Tamara, about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday at 75 Pumpkin Center Road, court records show. Felicetty allegedly fled toward West Elizabeth before police arrived at the residence. District Judge James Ellis sent the charges to the suspect Monday in a summons.
Drug case: Henry P. Flock, 49, of 6906 Spruce St., Union Township, is charged by Monongahela police with possessing $50 worth of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness stemming from a traffic stop about 8:40 p.m. Wednesday in the 3700 block of Route 88, court records show. District Judge James Ellis issued the charges Tuesday by summons.
Charged by summons: Gregory Crouch Sr., 50, of 162 Coal Valley Road, Clairton, is charged by Monongahela police with illegal possession of a partial Suboxone strip, possession of drug paraphernalia, public drunkenness and driving with a suspended license stemming from a complaint about 8:15 p.m. Sunday at 528 Trax Road, court records show. District Judge James Ellis issued the case in a summons Tuesday.
Harassment charge: James Gordon, 48, of 83 W. Walnut St., Washington, was charged with harassment Wednesday by Washington police after he allegedly punched and pushed a North Franklin Township woman during a confrontation at his home.
Purse stolen: Anna Shaffer told Washington police Wednesday her purse containing $20, identification, passport, checkbook and keys was stolen from her home on Murtland Avenue.
Drug charges: Wayne Murphy Jr., 25, was arraigned by video Thursday by District Judge Robert Redlinger. Murphy, who is currently an inmate at SCI-Frackville, was charged by state police with drug delivery and possession May 23. The charges stem from a June 9, 2015, incident in which Murphy allegedly sold an unspecified number of stamp bags of suspected heroin to a confidential informant at a house on Addison Street.
