Center Twp. man charged in statutory sex assault
A Center Township man was charged Wednesday with statutory sexual assault for allegedly having sex with a 15-year-old girl over a six-month period.
State police said Cale Vaughn Miller, 20, of 140 Center Highlands, had sex with the girl on about 10 occasions between November 2016 and April 2017. Police said Miller would drive to the girl’s Greene Township residence at night and climb through a window into her bedroom, where they would have sex.
Miller told police the girl would text him, telling him to come over.
The relationship was reported to Greene County Children and Youth Services and police began their investigation June 13.
Along with statutory sexual assault, Miller also was charged with corruption of minors. He is free on $50,000 unsecured bond, and his preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. July 10, before District Judge Lee Watson.
