Woman charged with stealing from mail
An Elrama woman was indicted Wednesday by a federal grand jury in Pittsburgh on a charge of theft of mail by a postal employee, the U.S. attorney’s office announced.
LoreLei Lantz, 51, of 6 Pollock Ave., was named in the one-count indictment. According to the indictment, Lantz was an employee of the U.S. Postal Service when she stole $60 in cash from a greeting card that was to be sent through the mail.
The law provides for a maximum total sentence of not more than 5 years in prison, a fine of $250,000 or both.
