Carroll Township woman arrested on assault charges
A Carroll Township woman was arrested Wednesday night by township police on charges including aggravated assault after she allegedly rammed her boyfriend’s vehicle three separate times as he drove on the street in front of her home.
Alyssa Marie Wickerham, 39, of 1933-A Route 2023, Monongahela, is also charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and reckless driving.
Police were called about 10:40 p.m. after getting multiple calls of a large disturbance in front of Wickerham’s home. When they arrived the alleged victim, Bryan Schaeffer, told the officer Wickerham was highly intoxicated and had repeatedly and intentional struck a vehicle he was driving.
Witnesses told police Wickerham reportedly hit Schaeffer’s vehicle broadside and then drove away. She returned, again striking his vehicle with her car. She again drove off, returned and hit the driver’s side of his vehicle a third time.
Wickerham left before police arrived. Police found her in her car parked a short distance away. Police took her into custody. Wickerham refused to submit to a blood alcohol test, police said.
Wickerham was arraigned before District Judge David Mark and placed in Washington County jail on $50,000 bond. She is scheduled for a March 16 preliminary hearing before District Judge Mark Wilson.
