Woman faces fraud, theft charges
A Clarksville woman who was jailed last month for allegedly stealing a truck in Franklin Township is facing more charges after state police said she stole a bank card and spent more than $550.
Ladonna Lynn Lingenfield, 31, of 25 C Drive, Teagarden Homes, was charged by state police Monday with access device fraud and theft for allegedly stealing a bank card around Christmas Eve from Marie McMasters, with whom Lingenfield was living at the time, according to the criminal complaint.
Police said McMasters noticed five fraudulent transactions totaling $551. Police said they were able to get surveillance images of Lingenfield using the card at Walmart stores in Franklin Township and Brownsville. Police said Lingenfield admitted to them in February that she took the card and used it.
She is also facing charges of burglary, receiving stolen property and two counts of theft for allegedly breaking into a Franklin Township garage in the 2200 block of Smith Creek Road and stealing a truck in October.
According to court documents, Lingenfield entered the garage through an unlocked window, filled the truck with tools and drove it to Brownsville, where she sold the tools for crack.
She allegedly told police she drove the truck around for a couple of weeks before getting it stuck in mud in Luzerne Township, where police found it. They charged her Feb. 8.
In a third case from January, Lingenfield is facing 14 counts of theft, 14 counts of receiving stolen property and eight counts of forgery for allegedly stealing a checkbook and forging checks at Walmart and Giant Eagle in Franklin Township and the Walmart in South Strabane Township in August.
Lingenfield is being held on $40,000 bond for the three cases. Her preliminary hearing for the latest case is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. March 17.
