Police Beat March 10
Domestic dispute: Joseph Edward Miller Jr., 18, of 969 Whites Bridge Road, Waynesburg, was arrested after state police said he punched and kicked his father at their Center Township home and assaulted two other woman about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Police said he also kicked out a police cruiser’s door window while handcuffed. Miller faces three counts of harassment, two counts each of simple assault and criminal mischief, and one count each of resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. He was arraigned by District Judge Lee Watson and released on $2,500 bond.
Identity theft: Gary A. Danforth, 35, of Carmichaels, was charged Wednesday with theft of services and identity theft after state police said he registered two cell phone accounts using his girlfriend’s mother’s name, Sharon May Jackson, between August 2015 and June 2016. Police said collection agencies are now attempting to have Jackson repay the $1,485 in bills.
One injured in crash: One person was injured Tuesday after her vehicle was struck from behind on Route 21 near the Waynesburg exit of Interstate 79. State police said the car driven by Linda J. Bartolovich, 57, of Waynesburg, was rear-ended by Thomas J. Walters, 32, of Carmichaels about 5:15 p.m. Bartolovich was taken by ambulance to WHS-Greene hospital for unspecified injuries.
