Assault alleged: Edward V. Blackburn Jr., 23, of 30 Lincoln St., Cokeburg, is charged by state police with simple assault and harassment over allegations he struck Eugene Andrews in the head Sunday at 810 Old West Road, court records show. District Judge Curtis Thompson signed a warrant Wednesday for Blackburn’s arrest.

Theft charge: Jonathan Pagano, 26, of Bethel Park, was charged last week by Cecil police with access device fraud and theft. He is accused of using a relative’s bank account information to pay his Verizon bill in November. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Traci McDonald.

DUI alleged in crash: John McFalls, 53, of Canonsburg, faces a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol after crashing his pickup truck in the 600 block of Route 980 about 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Cecil police said. He was not injured.

Drug, DUI charges: Philip Michael Masko, 25, of McDonald, was charged this week by Cecil police with driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana and paraphernalia after a Feb. 23 traffic stop at the intersection of Technology Drive and Southpointe Boulevard. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Traci McDonald.

Woman charged: Alexandria Zimmerman, 22, of 2008 Louise Drive, Glenshaw, is charged by the Washington County sheriff’s office with hindering apprehension over allegations she took steps to hide a wanted man at 302 Washington Ave. about 8:50 a.m. Feb. 6, court records show. District Judge Larry Hopkins issued the charge in a summons Wednesday.

Fence damaged: A fence at UPS Freight, West Pike Street, Meadow Lands, was reported damaged to Chartiers police Thursday.

Units entered: Chartiers police said locks were cut on units at West Pike Storage, 536 1/2 W. Pike St., Wednesday. Units were entered and rummaged through, police said. The locks were stolen.

Pole hit: Emery Yuhas of Westland Road, Hickory, was driving Monday in the 900 block of Western Avenue when his vehicle went off the road and hit a utility pole, Chartiers police said. It is not known if he was injured.

Rocks thrown: Shawn D. Zombeck of 326 E. Lincoln St. told McDonald police Thursday that rocks were thrown on the front porch of his home. A witness told Zombeck that the occupant of a green BMW threw the rocks.

Drug charges: Joseph Wernert, 63, of 465 Linnwood Road, North Strabane, was charged last week by township police with possession of marijuana and a controlled substance after he allegedly was found with the items while being treated at Canonsburg Hospital Jan. 9. Police said hospital employees found that he had two bottles of prescription medication that were not prescribed for him, and marijuana also was in one of the bottles. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Two charged: Jessica Lynn Toda, 43, and Alexandra Elwell, 28, both of Salem, W.Va., were charged this week with retail theft, conspiracy and drug violations by South Strabane police after allegedly stealing items valued at $670.77 from Gabriel’s and items valued at $533.88 from Tractor Supply, both at Northgate Plaza, on Feb. 15. Toda had crystal prescription drugs that did not belong to her and methamphetamine, while Elwell had cocaine, police said. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Theft alleged: Michael Carothers, 42, of Washington, was charged this week by South Strabane police with retail theft, driving under suspension and reckless driving. He is accused of stealing items from Giant Eagle, Strabane Square, on March 1. When he was approached by loss-prevention officer, he allegedly got into his vehicle and fled at a high speed, police said. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Theft charge: Brandon P. Kerik, 33, of Connellsville, was charged this week by South Strabane police with theft by deception after he allegedly fraudulently returned items that had been stolen from Lowe’s, Strabane Square, in exchange for a gift card. The charge was sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Pub cited: The owner of Peter’s Creek Pub, 2103 Rankintown Road, Union, was cited Friday by the state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement for allegedly serving a 20-year-old an alcoholic beverage Feb. 11.

False alarm charge: Bertram Mitchell, 60, of 473 E. Hallam Ave., was charged by Washington police with making a false alarm after he allegedly set off an alarm at his home Thursday. Police said he reportedly has set off 12 false alarms in the last month.

Package stolen: Darrel Provance of 424 Burton Ave. told Washington police that a package that was delivered Tuesday containing prescription medication was stolen from outside his home.

Vehicle damaged: Kimberly Chandler of 415 W. Hallam Ave. told Washington police that her vehicle was scratched while it was parked in her driveway.

Theft report: Levi Harris, 59, of 335 Third St., Isabella, is charged by township police with theft over allegations he stole tires and chains worth $750 from Solomon Auto Group, 500 National Pike, about 1:20 p.m. Dec. 1, court records show. District Judge Curtis Thompson issued the charge in a summons Wednesday.
