O-R selects 10 for reader advisory panel
Observer-Reporter readers have been selected to participate in a newspaper advisory panel.
Last month, we asked for subscribers to share their views of the newspaper with publisher Tom Northrop, director of news Lucy Corwin and executive editor Liz Rogers.
More than 90 readers submitted applications for eight seats on the panel. Because of the overwhelming response, the decision was made to add two seats on the board and also create a reader advisory network. Throughout the year, the network will be sent surveys to provide their input on issues related to editorial content.
Appointed to the reader advisory board were John Campbell Sr. and John Zaremba, both of Washington; Melissa Graham, Claysville; Hortencia Maley, Fredericktown; Joann Naser, Canonsburg; Linda Novak, Cecil; David Wallach, McMurray; Andrew Tworzydlo, Brownsville; Mark McCurdy, Rogersville, and Valerie Soltis, Waynesburg.
Over the next several months, the panel will meet to discuss topics that will include the editorial, news and sports pages, niche publications and newspaper-sponsored events.
The feedback provided will be used to help drive some of our decisions and make changes in our editorial content.
