Police Beat March 15
Assault charges: Chad G. Reams, 40, of 408 Fourth St., California, was arraigned Monday before District Judge Joshua Kanalis on charges filed by California police after he allegedly assaulted two women the previous day. Reams is charged with four counts of aggravated assault and two counts each of simple assault, reckless endangerment and harassment. He is accused of throwing a wooden dining room chair at them during a confrontation. One woman was able to duck, but the chair hit the second woman, police said. Reams was released on $25,000 unsecured bond.
Rolls dumped: David Carroll, 55, of 174 Bench Ave., Canton, was charged Thursday by state police with criminal mischief and disorderly conduct. He is accused of dumping a tray of 24 pepperoni rolls on the floor during a disagreement with his girlfriend March 2 while she was working at Isaly’s, 2400 Jefferson Ave. When police went to talk with him the following day, they said they found him hiding in a closet at his home. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark. He is scheduled for an April 19 preliminary hearing before Mark.
Assault arrest: Adam Eric Andrews, 22, of 202 E. Pike St., Houston, was arrested Monday by state police on charges of simple assault and harassment for allegedly holding a knife to his mother’s neck during a confrontation at their home. He was arraigned before District Judge Curtis Thompson and placed in Washington County Jail on $20,000 bond.
Burglary, trespass arrest: Robert Erroll Corrick, 46, of 340 North St., McDonald, was arrested Monday night by McDonald police on charges of burglary, criminal trespass, theft and receiving stolen property. Corrick is accused of entering the kitchen of the Pitt Restaurant, 110 S. Lincoln St., while it was closed. He allegedly opened a refrigerator and stole a money bag. Police found him walking in the area, and they said Corrick had cash in his pocket. He was arraigned before District Judge Curtis Thompson and placed in Washington County Jail on $7,500 bond.
Theft report: Denise Grame, 38, of 102 Skurkay Lane, Rostraver Township, is charged by township police with retail theft and theft over allegations she stole merchandise from Walmart, 100 Sara Way, and used it to make a fraudulent return for a gift card valued at $219 about 6:45 p.m. Feb. 12, court records show. Michael John McLain, 40, of the same address, is charged with theft in the case. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued the charges by summons Monday.
Woman charged: Amber Dawn Schneider, 27, of 543 Brown St., Everson, is charged by township police with trespassing and stealing merchandise worth $25 from Walmart, 100 Sara Way, about 8:25 p.m. Feb. 27, court records show. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued the charges in a summons Monday.
Vehicle scratched: Joseph Landles of Evans City told Washington police Monday that his vehicle was scratched while it was parked at 60 E. Maiden St. Police said charges are pending.
Driver faces charges: Justin Conley, 27, of 301 Locust Ave., Washington, faces charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of heroin and paraphernalia and careless driving after police say he crashed his vehicle into another car about 11:45 p.m. Monday in front of 28 E. Hallam Ave. Police said they found him with two stamp bags of suspected heroin, 19 empty stamp bags and needles. He allegedly admitted to police that he used heroin several hours earlier.
