Washington store robbed at gunpoint
Washington police are looking for a masked gunman who robbed a Ridge Avenue convenience store at gunpoint Monday night.
Police said a man whose face was covered by a T-shirt with holes cut out for his eyes entered the Mega Express, 306 Ridge Ave., about 9:10 p.m. He reportedly pointed a semiautomatic pistol at the clerk and ordered him to “Give me the money.” After getting the cash, the robber reportedly ran south behind the building in the direction of Oak Alley.
The robber also wore a black, hooded shirt, black pants and brown boots. He was black, 20 to 25 years old and between 5 feet, 10 inches and 6 feet tall. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-223-4226.
