No one was home when a house fire broke out just before 10 a.m. Thursday at 759 Dille Run Road in Morris Township.

The two-story home, a log cabin with an addition, was badly damaged, said Morris Township fire Chief Dave Dietrich. Gusting winds made it difficult to extinguish the blaze.

Dietrich said the home is uninhabitable. The Red Cross was called to assist the four residents.

The fire is not suspicious, he added. A state fire marshal was called to investigate.

Assisting were fire departments from North Franklin, South Franklin, Amwell and South Strabane townships and Lone Pine.
