Firearm violation alleged: Jeffrey T. Crittendon, 35, of McKees Rocks, was arrested Wednesday by Charleroi Regional police after they say he was found on McKean Avenue with a handgun that had been reported stolen in Pittsburgh. Crittendon reportedly told police he found the gun near a garbage can and picked it up. He was arraigned before District Judge Curtis Thompson on charges of person not to possess a firearm, receiving stolen property and carrying a firearm without a license. He was placed in Washington County Jail on $7,500 bond.

Theft arrest: Timothy Walker Jr., 24, of 1920 Park Ave., Washington, was arrested Wednesday on charges of theft and access device fraud for allegedly stealing his grandmother’s debit cards and making 23 withdrawals totalling $5,500 in January. He was arraigned before District Judge Curtis Thompson and placed in Washington County Jail on $7,500 bond.

Fraud charge: John S. Eastham, 32, of 507 Jackson St., Monongahela, was charged this week by Monongahela police with access device fraud after he allegedly used a debit card stolen from a New Eagle woman to make a $200 withdrawal earlier this month. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Curtis Thompson,

Charged in crash: Julie Ann Roux, 69, of 274 Route 519, Eighty Four, was charged this week by state police in connection with an Oct. 8 crash at Routes 40 and 519 that seriously injured a man who was riding his motorcycle. Roux is charged with leaving the scene of a crash, failure to render aid, failure to notify police, careless driving and reckless driving. Police said she pulled from Route 519 into the path of the motorcycle. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Curtis Thompson.

Drugs in mailbox: Police said that on March 14, a U.S. Postal Service mail carrier reported finding two bags of suspected marijuana in a mailbox on Park Avenue. An investigation revealed that a 17-year-old had placed it there for pickup and will be charged as a juvenile with possession of marijuana, according to police.

Drug arrest: Da’Jon Lengyel, 19, of Pittsburgh was charged with possession of a small amount of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia after police investigated a suspicious vehicle in the 200 block of Valley Brook Road, according to police, who said that when the vehicle was approached, the person inside was attempting to conceal something, and a subsequent search revealed the substance and paraphernalia.

Driver charged: Michael Yaros, 34, of 411 Washington Ave., Charleroi, was charged this week by state police with possession of marijuana, driving under the influence of a controlled substance and careless driving stemming from a Feb. 22 traffic stop on Interstate 70 in Somerset. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Curtis Thompson.

Harassment alleged: Michelle A. Steiner, 37, of Somerset, was charged this week with two counts of harassment after she allegedly called her estranged husband 32 times in less than three hours Tuesday. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Curtis Thompson.

Drug arrest: Thomas Cherry Jr., 19, of 146 Jollick Manor, Washington, was arrested Wednesday night by Washington police on charges of possession and possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession of marijuana and paraphernalia and traffic violations after a traffic stop on West Chestnut Street. Police said K-9 Golem “hit” on the vehicle, and officers found a brick and a half of suspected heroin. Cherry was arraigned before District Judge Curtis Thompson and placed in Washington County Jail on $25,000 bond.

Identity theft: Angela Watters of Washington told Washington police that she discovered her personal information had been used to open credit cards in her name.

Warrant arrest: Travis Wolfe, 26, of 172 Prigg Road, Canton Township, was taken into custody on a probation warrant during a traffic stop early Thursday in the 300 block of East Maiden Street. He was placed in Washington County Jail on the warrant.
