EBENSBURG (AP) – A Pennsylvania man convicted of murdering his girlfriend inside their Johnstown home two years ago has been sentenced to serve life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Thirty-seven-year-old David Johnson was sentenced Thursday in Cambria County for the fatal stabbing of 30-year-old Allison Vaughn on March 30, 2015.

Johnson was also found guilty of aggravated assault, robbery, theft, access device fraud and abuse of a corpse in addition to murder.

Authorities say Johnson stabbed Vaughn three times and strangled her after she refused to allow him to withdraw $400 from her bank account to purchase crack cocaine.
