Police Beat March 18
Assault charge: Samayah Winston, 27, of Wyncote, Montgomery County, was charged this week by California police with simple assault and harassment for allegedly biting another patron on the face at Wood Street Grille, 128 Wood St., March 9. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Joshua Kanalis.
DUI, weapons charges: Zachary Miller, 28, of Fredericktown, was charged this week by California police with driving under the influence of alcohol, firearm violations and traffic violations stemming from a March 5 traffic stop in the 200 block of Wood Street. Police said he refused to submit to a blood-alcohol test. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Joshua Kanalis.
Three charged: Jaelin Amir Opara, 18, of Mt. Oliver; Probyn Queita, 19, of Sinking Springs, Berks County, and Alexis Wood, 18, of Spring Church, Armstrong County, were charged this week by California police with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after police were called March 10 to Vulcan Village apartment for a complaint about the odor of burnt marijuana. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Joshua Kanalis.
Paraphernalia, traffic charges: Justin Dugan, 23, of 60 Carl Ave., Eighty Four, was arraigned Thursday before District Judge David Mark on charges of possession of paraphernalia and traffic violations stemming from a Jan. 9 traffic stop by Canonsburg police at East Pike Street and Greenside Avenue. He was taken into custody after a traffic stop Thursday by state police. Dugan was placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.
Endangerment charges: Jessie Roger Clendenen, 32, of Long Branch, was charged this week by California police with endangering the welfare of children and disorderly conduct after he allegedly was under the influence of a controlled substance while having children in his care March 5 at a home on Honor Street in Long Branch. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Joshua Kanalis.
Open lewdness charge: Benjamin L. Neustein, 33, of 169 Scott Lane, Venetia, was charged this week by North Strabane police with open lewdness, indecent exposure and disorderly conduct. He is accused of exposing himself while driving March 6 on Route 19 near McClelland Road. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Harassment charges: Tyree Sadar, 30, of Bellevue, was charged this week by North Strabane police with harassment for allegedly calling his ex-girlfriend’s cellphone repeatedly in January. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Charged in theft: Kenneth James Andrews, 54, of Carl Avenue, Eighty Four, was charged this week with theft by South Strabane police. He is accused of stealing a leaf blower, ladder and tools from his former employer in February. The items were valued at $1,270. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Three charged: Brent Zinn, 37, Karissa Nicola, 27, and Ryan Miciotto, 24, all of Allison, were charged this week with retail theft for allegedly stealing items from Target, Strabane Square Feb. 15. Zinn and Miciotto also are charged with criminal mischief for allegedly damaging security devices. Miciotto also is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Theft charge: Kamilah Timmera Gaines, 24, of McKees Rocks, was charged this week with felony retail theft by South Strabane police after she allegedly stole clothing Wednesday from Osh Kosh B’Gosh at Tanger Outlets. She was placed in Washington County jail on an out-of-county warrant. The theft charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
DUI alleged in crash: Drew Puskarich, 21, of 708 Banetown Road, Washington, will be charged by Washington police with DUI after a crash Thursday night in the 600 block of South Main Street. Police said his vehicle went off the road and hit a mailbox and decorative stone before flipping on its side. Police said his blood-alcohol content was almost three times the limit at which intoxication is presumed.
