Attempted theft charges: Andrew Stenshorn, 21, of Dover, York County, was charged last week by California police with attempted theft and disorderly conduct after he allegedly tried to steal street signs and highway markers March 7. Police said they spotted him putting the signs in his vehicle on Riverview Drive. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Joshua Kanalis.

Two charged: Johnny Lee Seese, 38, of 2228 Orchard Drive, Canonsburg, and Justin Celento, 46, of 239 Vine St., Canonsburg, were charged last week by Canonsburg police with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia stemming from a March 6 traffic stop on North Jefferson Avenue. Seese also was charged with traffic violations, while Celento was charged with restrictions on a controlled substance for allegedly smoking marijuana in the vehicle. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

Drug charges: Dylan William Johnson, 30, of 126 Hart St., was charged last week by Chartiers police with possession of crack and paraphernalia after he allegedly was found with the items during a March 8 adult probation compliance check. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

Three charged: Borough police filed charges against the following people stemming from an alleged underage drinking party officers broke up about 11 p.m. Saturday at 432 Liberty St.: Kyla Davis, 19, of 918 Oneida St., Monessen; and Tonya L. White, 35, and Elijah M. White, 18, both of whom reside at the Liberty Street address, court records show. Elijah White is charged with corruption of minors, selling or furnishing alcohol to minors, underage drinking and disorderly conduct. Tonya White is charged with corruption of minors. Davis faces charges of underage drinking and false reports. District Judge Mark Wilson issued the cases by summons Monday.

Man jailed: William Pearson, 28, of 639 Ninth St., Monessen, is charged by city police with three counts each of aggravated assault and resisting arrest over allegations he struggled with and spit on city police officers and others from Rostraver Township while they served an arrest warrant on him at his residence about 7 p.m. Saturday, court records show. Officers used force and pepper spray to subdue Pearson, who they said is a suspect in three recent crimes in Monessen, including burglary and trespassing. He was placed in Westmoreland County jail on $50,000 bond.

Mischief charge: Scott A. Natoli, 21, of 51 Linnwood Ave., Washington, was charged by North Franklin police with criminal mischief after he allegedly broke a kitchen window inside an apartment at Woodland Apartments, 384 Hancock St., during a March 10 confrontation with a Canonsburg man.

Guns, change stolen: Ray Ealy of McElree Road told North Franklin police March 14 that a Ruger handgun, a 15-round magazine and about $300 in change were stolen in a burglary of his home.

Two injured: Arthur Byers, 82, and Sara Byers, 74, both of Laurie Lane, Washington, were injured when the vehicle he was driving went off Scenic Drive around a curve near Cove Road March 13 and hit a tree, North Franklin police said. Both were taken to Washington Hospital for treatment.

DUI crash: A Waynesburg man was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding following an incident at 1:30 a.m. March 19. According to police, an officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Route 19 prior to striking a concrete median and rendering the vehicle disabled. James Gilbert, 45, showed signs of impairment, and his blood-alcohol content was later determined to be .20 percent, police said. The state presumes intoxication at .08 percent.

Woman charged: Autumn Nicole Reynolds, 21, of 44 Madison St., Cokeburg, is charged by township police with two counts each of trespassing and retail theft and one count of theft stemming from incidents at Walmart, 100 Sara Way, Feb. 23 and March 2, court records show. Police accuse her of stealing merchandise worth $486 from the store and fraudulently returning some of it for a gift card. Police also charged Kristen Hope Brown, 25, of 31 Washington St., Cokeburg, with conspiring with Reynolds in the March 2 false return. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued the charges by summons Tuesday.

Granddaughter charged: Chelsea Newman, 28, of 51 Center Ave., Burgettstown, was charged last week by Smith police with burglary, criminal trespass, receiving stolen property and theft for allegedly stealing her grandmother’s television set. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Gary Havelka.

Harassment charge: Rodney Clung, 53, of 230 Shirls Ave., Washington, was charged with harassment by Washington police after he allegedly struck a woman during a confrontation Monday at their home.

Window broken: Janette Ledbitter of Washington told Washington police Monday that a juvenile threw a rock through her vehicle window while she was in the 400 block of East Hallam Avenue.

Office burglarized: Washington police said $207 and a $25 Walmart gift card were reported stolen Monday in a burglary at CCI, 30 N. Main St.

Woman missing: Jocelyn Scott, 18, was reported missing Monday to Washington police. She was last seen Feb. 24 at her Addison Street home. Police learned she might be in Tennessee or living in a vacant house. She is white, about 5 feet, 4 inches tall, with blonde hair and blue eyes.

Account accessed: Shawn Najowicz of Washington told Washington police Monday that more than $3,000 worth of checks were cashed from his bank account without his permission.

Mirror broken: Cyerrah Spangler of 32 Shannon Ave. told Washington police Monday that the mirrors were broken on her vehicle.

Taken into custody: Leslie Dixon, 39, of Carnegie, was taken into custody on a detainer Monday by Washington police after they received a complaint of two women passed out in a vehicle in a Jefferson Avenue parking lot. She also will be charged with possession of paraphernalia.

Driver hurt: A car driven by Michelle Kelly, 33, of Clarksville, swerved to miss a deer while traveling on Lone Pine Road at Pine Run Road at 7:37 a.m. Monday and hit a utility pole, state police said. Kelly was taken to Washington Hospital with minor injuries.

Harassment alleged: Mary Jo Smith, 48, of Brownsville, was charged by state police with harassment after she allegedly sent text messages last month in the early morning or late night hours to a 47-year-old West Pike Run woman. Smith also is accused of calling the woman’s boyfriend at work. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Curtis Thompson.
