Three Monongahela women face charges
MONONGAHELA – Three Monongahela women face heroin possession charges stemming from a traffic stop Saturday in their hometown.
Monongahela police on Monday filed charges of drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia against Nicole Renee Kerlicker, 24, of 130 Factory St.; Jillian Fay Sarver, 37, of 1209 Chess St.; and Karen M. Piccione, 63, of 209 First Ave., court records show. Kerlicker also faces a charge of possession with intent to deliver heroin.
The investigation began about noon while police were conducting surveillance near 130 Factory St. because Kerlicker was wanted on a warrant.
Kerlicker and Sarver left the house and got into a vehicle that was driven by Piccione, who was stopped by police at East Main and Nelson streets, court records show.
Police accuse Piccione of having one stamp bag of heroin in a pill bottle and Sarver of having several stamp bags of the drug tucked into her pants. Police said they seized from Kerlicker three doses of Zubsolv, a drug that treats opiate addition.
Police said they later were given permission to search Kerlicker’s bedroom, where they said they seized a brick of heroin and five stamp bags of the drug, as well as 200 empty stamp bags in a shoebox.
Kerlicker is expected to be arraigned Wednesday before District Judge Mark Wilson. The other cases were issued in summons from Wilson’s office.
