26-year-old woman killed in California crash

A woman was killed in a two-vehicle accident in California Saturday afternoon.

Two vehicles collided about 3:50 p.m. on Malden Drive at East Malden Drive, resulting in six occupants being flown via medical helicopters to Pittsburgh hospitals, according to California Borough Police Department.

Allegheny General Hospital released information about 7 p.m. that a 26-year-old woman was pronounced dead from injuries sustained in the crash, police said.

All names are being withheld until families of the deceased and injured have been notified.

Assisting California police were California Volunteer Fire Department, Brownsville Ambulance Service and other neighboring fire personnel and emergency medical services.
