Chartiers police charged him after he allegedly used a Sears credit card owned by a Chartiers woman to make almost $880 in purchases. Boyfriend arrested: Alexander Gilbert Adams, 23, of 1420 Yorktown Drive, Lawrence, was arrested Saturday morning by North Strabane police after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend at her home on Cherry Street. The 25-year-old woman told police she was sleeping when Adams kicked in her bedroom door, grabbed her and pushed her across the room, causing her to fall. He also reportedly slapped her in the face. He was arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis on charges of simple assault, harassment and criminal mischief and placed in Washington County jail on $2,500 bond.

Skateboarder injured: Spencer Griffith, 22, of Meadowbrook Drive, North Strabane, was injured Saturday afternoon when he was run over by a vehicle backing out of a driveway on Meadowbrook after he jumped off a skateboard onto the street. North Strabane police said he was riding the skateboard down the street when he saw the vehicle angled in a driveway. Police said he ditched the skateboard when he realized the vehicle was backing out of the driveway, but had too much momentum and could not stop. Griffith landed facedown under the vehicle which drove over him. Griffith was taken by ambulance to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. Police said he complained of back and leg pain and received scrapes.

Driver charged: Timothy J. Gallagher, 56, of Bethel Park, was arrested early Saturday by state police on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, not having registration card, no insurance and failure to stay in his lane after he was seen driving erratically in the 2200 block of Route 19 (Washington Road), North Strabane. Police said a preliminary breath test indicated he was intoxicated. He was taken to Canonsburg Hospital where blood was drawn to determine his alcohol level. Gallagher was taken to Washington County jail for arraignment before District Judge Joshua Kanalis since police could not release him to anyone. He was released from jail after posting $5,000 bond.

Unauthorized use charge: Kevin L. Bruce, 39, of 16 Church St., Millsboro, was arraigned Saturday before District Judge Joshua Kanalis on charges of unauthorized use of a vehicle and driving with a suspended license. He failed to respond to a summons on the charges filed by South Strabane police in November for allegedly failing to return his girlfriend’s vehicle after dropping her at work Nov. 28. The vehicle was later recovered. Bruce was placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.

Ex-wife arrested: Donna Darlene Titchnell, 54, of 550 Broad St., was arrested Friday night by Washington police on charges of simple assault, harassment and making terroristic threats. Police were called for a report of an open line to 911 with a domestic in the background. Her ex-husband told police the two got into an argument before she bit him on the upper forearm and lower biceps of his left arm, causing it to bleed. She also threatened to punch her ex-husband as he talked with police. She was arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.

Woman arrested: Kristen Hope Brown, 25, whose last known address was Washington Street, Cokeburg, was arraigned Saturday night on charges filed against her by West Brownsville and state police. Brown is charged by state police with access device fraud for allegedly using a Cokeburg man’s credit card to make $757 in purchases at a Walmart without his permission in December. West Brownsville police charged her with theft and defiant trespass for allegedly stealing a coffee maker from Walmart with another woman. The item was then returned for a gift card. She also had been banned from the store. At her arraignment, District Judge Joshua Kanalis denied her bond because she has several criminal cases pending against her.
