A teen who was convicted in a 2015 Canonsburg home invasion is facing charges in a separate case.

Robert L. Austin, 19, whose last known address was on Findlay Street in Canton Township, was charged Monday by state police with trespassing at 64 Crescent Drive, Canton Township. According to the complaint, Austin resisted police when he was taken into custody.

Charges of trespassing, resisting arrest and underage drinking will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

Austin pleaded guilty to robbery and conspiracy Oct. 31 for a Sept. 16, 2015, armed home invasion at 250 N. Central Ave., Canonsburg. A resident told police her door was kicked in and three masked invaders stole $580 and a cellphone. Austin allegedly also stole a prescription bottle from the home.

He was sentenced to 11 ½ to 23 months in jail by Judge Gary Gilman.
