Police Beat March 31
Cars entered: Witnesses told Canonsburg police they saw a man in a gray, hooded sweatshirt attempting to enter vehicles in the area of North Street and Ridge Avenue about 10 p.m. Wednesday. One person reported ammunition and a gun case were stolen from a vehicle parked on North Street. Witnesses said the man in the sweatshirt appeared to be carrying a gun case and two bookbags.
Hit-and-run: A man reported to borough police that he was hit by a vehicle about 7:45 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Greenside and Vine streets while on his motorcycle. A white man in his late 50s with a gray beard reportedly was driving the green, four-door sedan that struck the motorcyclist. The driver allegedly got out of his vehicle, asked if the man was injured, then left. There were no injuries or damage reported.
Gun stolen: The residents of 529 McGovern Road reported to township police Wednesday that a Tavor SAR semi-automatic rifle was stolen from their home.
Liquor violation alleged: White Barn Supper Club, 2212 Route 88, was cited Wednesday by the Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement for failure to maintain complete and truthful records covering the operation for two years prior to Jan. 25. Charges will be brought before an administrative law judge.
Three charged: Stephanie Victor, no age given, of 225 S. College St., Washington, and Kelley Kover, 26, and Kimberly Kover, 28, both of 1176 Bruce St., Washington, were charged with robbery, theft by unlawful taking and disorderly conduct. According to Washington police, the three were identified as having stolen a 66-year-old woman’s purse outside Shop ‘n Save, 125 W. Beau St., on March 23. An arrest warrant was issued by District Judge Robert Redlinger for Victor and Kelley Kover. Charges will be sent by summons to Kimberly Kover.
