Police Beat May 3
Trespassing: State police said two “unknown individuals” entered a home on Monarch Street in Canton Township about 12:30 p.m. April 24. One reportedly wore a black hooded sweatshirt and the other a gray sweatshirt with fur around the hood. Police did not say whether anything was stolen.
Vehicles entered: Mark Luba of 520 Ridge Ave. told Chartiers police Tuesday two of his unlocked vehicles were entered and change was stolen.
Man jailed: David Mooers, 29, of 333 Manown St., Monessen, is charged by city police with theft, loitering and receiving stolen property over allegations he ransacked several vehicles on Delaware Street late Sunday, court records show. Mooers is in Westmoreland County jail on $10,000 bond set by District Judge Joseph Dalfonso.
Theft arrest: Tiffany Rose Yeager, 27, of Clairton, was arrested Friday by North Franklin police on a charge of felony retail theft after she allegedly stole items from Marshall’s, Washington Crown Center. She was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
Two injured: Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon on Route 519 near the North Strabane Township Building, township police said. A vehicle driven by Alphonzo Wallace III, 34, of Uniontown, was headed north when it crossed the center line, colliding with a southbound vehicle driven by Lauren M. Bridge, 19, of 187 W. Dividing Ridge Road, Prosperity, police said. Both drivers were treated at the scene.
Damage reported: Felix Magnotta told Washington police Monday that an air-conditioning unit was damaged at the rear of his building at 3 N. Main St.
Driver to be charged: Duwayne Patterson, 21, of 72 Park Ave., Washington, will be charged with leaving the scene of an accident stemming from a March 12 crash at the intersection of Baird Avenue and Ewing Street, Washington police said Tuesday.
