South Strabane Township police charge several people with theft

South Strabane Township police recently charged several people with theft-related charges for allegedly stealing from township businesses.

Christie Chester, 40, of 707 N. Franklin St., Washington, was charged with theft and receiving stolen property. She is accused of stealing an Apple iPad, an iPad watch and other items while working at Target, Strabane Square, April 21, police said. The total value of the items is $700.

Nathaniel T. Engott, 31, of 221 S. College St., Washington, is charged with retail theft, theft by deception and defiant trespass. He is accused of stealing an item from Walmart, Trinity Point, and returning it for a gift card April 18. He was previously banned from the store.

Courtney R. Dixon, 24, of 401 Highfield Ave., Canonsburg, is charged with retail theft for allegedly stealing 15 items valued at $440.67 from Target, Strabane Square, April 14.

Betty Jane Hill, 45, of Follansbee, W.Va., is charged with retail theft for allegedly stealing items valued at $178 from Kohl’s, Strabane Square, April 11.

Tina Marie Navrat, 47, of 435 Lusk Road, Bentleyville, is charged with retail theft for allegedly stealing 34 items valued at $167.81 from Walmart April 11.

Alexander G. Homerosky, 28, of 1250 McEwen Ave., Canonsburg, was charged with retail theft for allegedly stealing three DeWalt batteries valued at $253 from Lowe’s, Strabane Square, March 31.

The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
