Missing W.Va. man’s body found in Jefferson Township
The body of a West Virginia man were found in the woods of Jefferson Township Wednesday morning, the day after he was reported missing.
State police said a member of a search party found the body of Jimmy A. Truex, 68, of Colliers, off State Line Road about 7:20 a.m.
State police said there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding Truex’s death. The Washington County coroner’s office will perform an autopsy.
Truex’s family reported him missing to the Brooke County (W.Va.) sheriff’s office on Tuesday. His relatives, friends, state police and several fire departments began searching Tuesday near State Line and Eldersville roads after Truex’s vehicle was found abandoned. The state police aviation unit also assisted in the search.
