Section of Park Avenue in Monongahela closed
Park Avenue (Route 481) between West Main Street and Chess Street Extension in Monongahela has reopened to one lane after being closed due to a rockslide.
The slide occurred at about 10 p.m. Tuesday and brought down several trees, two utility poles and telephone lines, according to the Monongahela Fire Department.
The state Department of Transportation is working to address the situation and utility companies have been notified. Ringgold School District was also notified so that buses could be rerouted.
