Washington Co. district judges Gary Havelka, Jay Weller recertified
Two Washington County district judges have been recertified after recently completing continuing legal education course work conducted by the Minor Judiciary Education Board and Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts in Harrisburg.
Completing the work were District Judges Gary Havelka and Jay Weller.
The weeklong program makes sure the district judges remain current on a variety of legal topics and management techniques so they can fairly adjudicate cases and effectively supervise their offices.
Havelka’s district covers Burgettstown and Midway boroughs and Cross Creek, Hanover, Jefferson and Smith townships. Weller’s coverage area includes East Washington Borough and North and South Strabane townships.
