Strangulation arrest: Joshua Jordan Fields, 24, of Washington, was arrested early Tuesday by California police on charges of strangulation, aggravated assault and harassment stemming from an incident about 1:45 a.m. at 1247 California Terrace. He was arraigned before District Judge James Ellis and placed in Washington County jail on $100,000 bond.

Gun found: State police reported Joshua Karl Zeiler found a gun in bushes while doing yard work in the 1600 block of Jefferson Avenue about 4:30 p.m. Sunday. Police said the gun is a black Stallard Arms Inc. model JS 9mm, and the owner is not known. An investigation is ongoing.

Assault charges: Brenda Kay Johnson, 54, of 120 McKean Ave., Donora, was charged Monday by Carroll police with simple assault, harassment, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness after she allegedly got into a confrontation with another woman in the Monongahela Valley Hospital emergency room waiting area Sunday. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Larry Hopkins.

Driver injured: Sarah Coligan, 36, of 216 Pineview Drive, Canonsburg, was injured Friday morning in a two-vehicle crash on Route 980 at the intersection with Chartiers Run and Ohare roads, Cecil police said. She was driving on Route 980 when her vehicle was struck by a vehicle driven by Brittany Jackman, 21, of 1050 Maplewood Drive, Canonsburg. Police said Jackman had pulled from Chartiers Run and was attempting to cross Route 980 to Ohare. Coligan was taken to Canonsburg Hospital for treatment of a wrist injury, police said.

Pair charged: Ronald Kyle, 61, of 647 Knox Ave., Monessen, is charged by city police with theft and criminal mischief, and his girlfriend, Susan Litvin, 43, of 155 Memorial Drive, Perry Township, Fayette County, is charged with conspiracy and driving with a suspended license stemming from an incident about 1:30 p.m. Saturday, court records show. Police accuse Litvin of driving Kyle to a vacant house at 661 14th St. where he allegedly attempted to steal aluminum awning slats before police arrived. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued the charges by summons Monday.

Charged with assault: Bobby Joe Dukes, 24, of 301 Isabella St., North Charleroi, was arrested early Tuesday by Charleroi Regional police for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend and shoving a man down stairs. He was arraigned before District Judge James Ellis on charges of simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct. Dukes was placed in Washington County jail on $2,500 bond. Police also will charge him with public drunkenness, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief after police were called Monday night to Fifth Street and Center Avenue for a fight. Dukes allegedly damaged a vehicle.

Wallet stolen: Cynthia Marks of McMurray told Washington police Monday her wallet containing $6, a debit card and other cards was stolen by a woman to whom she gave a ride. Marks picked up the woman near the intersection of Hall and Jefferson avenues and drove her to the area of the ramp to Interstate 70 on Jefferson. She described the woman as black, 25 to 35 years old, and about 5 feet, 7 inches tall.
