WAYNESBURG

Check fraud: Jason Thomas Majercik, 44, of Madison, Ohio, was charged Tuesday with two counts of forgery, receiving stolen property and theft by deception after Waynesburg police said he stole a check out of a borough resident’s mailbox March 8 and cashed it for $450 at a bank in Claysville. Police said Majercik changed the amount and payment order on the check.
