House burglarized: Timothy J. Shaffer of Duquesne Avenue told Canonsburg police Sunday that an X-box 360 game player and games, 27-inch television, Microsoft Surface and iWatch were stolen in a burglary of his home.

Two arrested: Stacy Kristine Barton, 37, and Carmin George Marmarosa, 56, both of 584 Malone Ridge Road, Canton, were arrested Sunday night by state police on charges of simple assault and harassment after troopers were called to their home. They were arraigned before District Judge Traci McDonald. Barton was placed in Washington County Jail on $10,000 bond. Marmarosa was released from jail after posting $10,000 bond.

Assault arrest: Malcolm Lamar Hython, 24, of 86 Armstrong Drive, Canton, was arrested Friday by state police on charges of strangulation, simple assault and harassment after he allegedly applied pressure to his girlfriend’s neck and kicked her during a confrontation at his home. He was arraigned before District Judge James Ellis and placed in Washington County Jail on $5,000 bond.

Gun stolen: A Springfield XDS .45-caliber handgun was reported stolen Sunday from a home at 507 Wayne St., state police said.

HOPEWELL

Criminal mischief: Elizabeth Pzier of 163 Poplar St. told state police her garage door was dented. The damage was discovered Wednesday.

MONONGAHELA

Theft charge: Gabriel Adam Cecchini, 24, of Pittsburgh, was charged Friday by Monongahela police with theft after he allegedly stole $350 from a home on Wisconsin Street on May 13. The charge was sent by summons from the office of District Judge James Ellis.

Assault arrest: Donovan L. Piccolo, 35, of 1213 Chess St., Monongahela, was arraigned Friday before District Judge James Ellis on charges of simple assault and harassment after he allegedly hit his girlfriend with a cable box and slapped her. He was released on $1,000 unsecured bond.

Impersonation charge: Jamie Elizabeth Pasinski, 39, of 412 Birch Ave., New Eagle, was charged Friday by Monongahela police with impersonating a public servant and harassment after she allegedly made calls to the employer of a Monongahela woman earlier this month, claiming to be her parole officer. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge James Ellis.

NORTH STRABANE

Driver crashes: Kristen Kowalezyk, 21, of 388 Pine Ridge Drive, Venetia, escaped injury when her vehicle went down an embankment and hit a fence at 654 Waterdam Road Saturday night, North Strabane police said. Police said she was getting pulled over by Peters Township police for speeding when she drove off the road.

ROSTRAVER

Theft report: Jessica D. Sawa, 37, of 105 Emerald Lane, Rostraver Township, is charged by township police with theft and receiving stolen property, court records show. She is accused of stealing $60 from a wallet that was left on a counter at Rite Aid, 843 Rostraver Road, about 3:15 p.m. May 4. Police said Sawa was captured on store surveillance removing the money. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued the charges last week in a summons.

Woman charged: Hannah Lauren Groover, 24, of 315 Second St., Vestaburg, is charged by township police with theft and receiving stolen property over accusations she stole merchandise worth $78 from Walmart, 100 Sara Way, and then fraudulently returned it for a gift card about 2 a.m. May 11, court records show. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued the case last week in a summons.

SMITH

Assault arrest: Terry Lee Diamond, 24, of 302. E. Third Ave., Langeloth, was arrested early Sunday by Smith police on charges of simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct after he allegedly struck a woman in the face during a confrontation at their home. He was arraigned before District Judge James Ellis and released from Washington County Jail after posting $10,000 bond.

SOUTH STRABANE

One injured: Justin Penatzer, 29, of Carnegie, was injured May 15 when his vehicle struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Sheila Fisher, 56, of 140 Dry Ridge Road, West Alexander, South Strabane police said. Fisher was slowing to a stop as the light turned yellow on Murtland Avenue at Oak Spring Road. Penatzer was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment.

Wallet stolen: Nick Blumer of Washington told South Strabane police Friday that his wallet containing $20 and credit cards was stolen from the checkout at Giant Eagle, Strabane Square.

WASHINGTON

Assault, endangerment charges: William Joseph Tyler, 51, of 124 Maple Terrace, was arrested Sunday afternoon by Washington police on charges of simple assault, endangering the welfare of children and resisting arrest after officers were called to his home for a confrontation. He is accused of assaulting a woman. Police said the child she was holding when he tried to push his way into the home hit its head against a wall. Tyler allegedly resisted police as they tried to take him into custody, and a K-9 had to be used to subdue him. Tyler was arraigned before District Judge James Ellis and placed in Washington County Jail on $5,000 bond.

False ID charge: Joshua Ralston, 34, who Washington police said is homeless, will be charged with false identification to police after he allegedly gave a different first name and birth date when he was stopped because police said he was acting suspiciously Sunday in the 100 block of Hall Avenue. He was placed in Washington County Jail on a bench warrant.

Drug charges: Justin Coney, 28, of 301 Locust Ave., Washington, will be charged by Washington police with possession of suspected heroin and paraphernalia after police were called for a possible overdose in a vehicle at Seventh Ward playground Saturday. Coney was treated and released to a relative.
