WAYNESBURG – A Wind Ridge man who pleaded guilty last month to using a stolen credit card to purchase four packs of cigarettes and a piece of pizza at the Graysville Store was sentenced Thursday to 45 days to 2 years in jail.

Briar David Jones, 22, of 1593 Aleppo Road, pleaded guilty April 11 to access device fraud and receiving stolen property. Police said he used a stolen credit card Aug. 18 to purchase the items, valued at $30.28.

Jones, sentenced by Greene County Judge Lou Dayich, was given credit for time served, 44 days, which meant he was paroled Friday.

He also was ordered to pay $55.23 in restitution to Community Bank, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and perform 60 hours of community service.
