North Franklin Township police charged 18 young adults with underage drinking after being called earlier this month for a report of a loud party.

Police responded about 1:30 a.m. May 17 to the 700 block of Cleveland Road for a report of loud music. Police determined the music was coming from a residence on Roselawn Drive. Police went into the backyard and saw about two dozen young adults sitting around a table. They fled on foot, leaving behind their vehicles.

Police ran the registrations on the vehicles that were left parked in the area. Most of the group returned about two hours later. They were released to their parents. Police said at least one of the partygoers was found sleeping on a nearby porch.
