BURGETTSTOWN
DUI alleged in crash: Devin Jordan Degenkolb, 22, of 1307 Langeloth Road, Burgettstown, was charged by McDonald police with driving under the influence of alcohol, accident involving damage to unattended property and careless driving after he allegedly crashed into a vehicle parked outside a home at 435 Pittsburgh St., Burgettstown, pushing it into the house, early Friday. Police said he then drove off. His blood-alcohol content was more than twice the 0.08 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed, police said. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Gary Havelka.
Vehicle damaged: A vehicle parked in the lot at Cardinal Tire Center, 150 Center Ave., Burgettstown, was damaged Saturday by a hit-and-run driver, McDonald police said.
CANONSBURG
Home burglarized: Danny Vanderlee of Valleyview Terrace told Canonsburg police Friday Playstation 4 games, $900 and his daughter’s piggy bank were stolen in a burglary of his home.
CARROLL
Uncle charged: Carlton E. Johnson, 22, of 70 Lookout St., Carroll, was arrested Friday by Carroll police on charges of simple assault and harassment after he allegedly assaulted his nephew during an argument at his home. Johnson was arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins and placed in Washington County Jail on $25,000 bond.
MONONGAHELA
Son arrested: James Satter, 25, of 513 Elmira St., Monongahela, was arrested Friday by Monongahela police after he allegedly assaulted his mother during a confrontation at their home. He is accused of grabbing her by the hair and slamming her head off the kitchen table. He also is accused of threatening to kill her. Police had been called to the home earlier that day. Satter was arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins on charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threats and simple assault. He was placed in Washington County jail on $35,000 bond.
NORTH STRABANE
One injured: Betty J. Abrew, 76, of Saddleclub Drive, McMurray, was injured Sunday morning when her vehicle collided with a vehicle driven by Michael Murano, 16, of Briwood Drive, Canonsburg, on McDowell Lane, North Strabane police said. Abrew had to be freed from her vehicle by North Strabane firefighters. She was taken to Canonsburg Hospital for treatment.
SOUTH STRABANE
Husband arrested: Brent C. Lewis, 43, of 36-F Roberts Road, South Strabane, was arrested early Sunday by township police on charges of strangulation, simple assault, terroristic threats and harassment for allegedly punching his wife in the head and choking her. She ran to the neighbor’s house for help, police said, and was treated at the scene. Lewis was arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.
WASHINGTON
Assault arrest: Chad Glendenning, 38, of 560 Fayette St., Washington, was arrested Sunday by Washington police after he allegedly assaulted a 34-year-old Washington woman at his home. He was arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins on charges of domestic violence, simple assault and harassment. He was placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.
Fugitive arrested: Michael Blaize, 27, of Crown Point, Ind., was arrested early Sunday by Washington police during a traffic stop as a fugitive from justice after it was determined he was wanted in Indiana state for failing to report to parole officials after leaving a community transition facility. He was arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins and placed in Washington County jail without bond.
Theft, possession arrest: Jamie Lynn Harvey, 39, who told Washington police she is homeless, was arrested Saturday by Washington police after she allegedly stole items from Shop ‘n Save, 125 W. Beau St. Police said she had heroin and paraphernalia. She was arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins on charges of possession of heroin and paraphernalia and retail theft. Harvey was placed in Washington County jail on $15,000 bond.
Robbery reported: Mohammed Mustopha told Washington police a white man wearing a camouflage hooded shirt, dark glasses, black bandana and green shorts carrying a black gun entered 331 E. Maiden St. about 6:20 a.m. Sunday and robbed him of an unknown amount of cash.
Woman pushed: Kristen Terensky, 32, of Maple Terrace, told Washington police Saturday a man pushed her inside her home and fled. Charges are pending.
Account accessed: Jennifer Reedy of Washington told Washington police Friday her Direct Express account was accessed and $1,600 was withdrawn.
Money, cards stolen: Charlotte Taylor of South Main Street told Washington police Friday her wallet containing three credit cards and $500 was stolen.
