Child endangerment charge: Timothy Lee Black, 27, of 116 Parkview Knoll Road, Carmichaels, was charged Sunday with child endangerment, attempted simple assault, false identification to law enforcement and harassment after Cumberland Township police said they were called to 140 Bliss Ave. just before 10 p.m. Saturday for an argument. Laportia Thompson told police she attempted to leave the residence with a 4-year-old child, but Black allegedly grabbed her by the neck and pushed her to the ground as she held the child. She was able to get away with the child and some items, the criminal complaint said, and Black was arrested near his home.

Fuel theft: State police are investigating a theft of about 90 gallons of off-road diesel fuel from a site in the 300 block of Turkey Knob Road in Greene Township Oct. 24 or 25.
