A Scenery Hill man was arrested Wednesday by Washington police after three young girls accused him of trying to lure them into his car on three different occasions in September.

Dillon Wyant Jolly, 22, of 616 Station Road, was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger on three counts each of luring a child into a vehicle and stalking.

City police were called Sept 20 to Maple Avenue.

Two girls told police a man pulled alongside them and asked, “Do you want a ride?” He then drove past them, turned around and approached them again. This time, one of the girls was able to get a cellphone photo of the license plate on the car before it fled on Summerlea Avenue. Police said they learned it was a white Ford Focus registered to Jolly.

While talking with the girls, police learned one of them and another girl were approached by the same man Sept. 8 while they were in the area of an East Wylie Avenue convenience store.

He allegedly followed the two girls in a white car, asking “Do you want a ride?” The girl told police she and her friend ran through yards on Summerlea Avenue to get away for him.

The other girl involved in the Sept. 20 incident told police a few days after that incident, the same man tried to get her to get into his car as she walked alone on Summerlea.

Jolly was released from Washington County jail Thursday after posting $10,000 bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Wednesday before Redlinger.
