Driver faces charges: Madolyn R. Menear, 26, of Scottdale, faces a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol after a one-vehicle crash about 10:40 p.m. Friday in the 2400 block of Route 88 near Rosedale Street, Monongahela, state police said. She was driving north in the right lane about a curve when her vehicle went off the side of the road, hit a guard rail. Police said the vehicle continued through the guard rail, hitting a mailbox. The vehicle then rotates clockwise, hitting the guard rail again before coming to a stop in the northbound lane facing south.
