HANOVER
Charges filed: Christopher Slasor, 26, of Burgettstown, faces charges of fleeing, driving without registration, speeding, driving with a suspended license, illegal racing on highways and careless driving. Slasor allegedly led a Hanover Township officer on a chase at more than 120 mph west down Route 22 before the officer broke off the pursuit near the highway’s junction with Route 576 shortly after 8 p.m. Sunday. McDonald police located the vehicle Slasor had allegedly been driving outside the Center Avenue home where Slasor was staying. Police from several departments went to the residence to take Slasor into custody. Court records show he was arraigned before District Judge Traci McDonald Monday and released on $5,000 unsecured bond.
WASHINGTON
Woman charged: City police charged Casondra R. Mason, 26, of Allison Avenue with burglary, criminal trespass, theft and criminal mischief in connection with an Aug. 21 incident. Several people reportedly told police Mason was breaking into apartments and taking items at a building in the 900 block of Jefferson Avenue. Residents claimed Mason stole a Xbox video game system and a TV and broke a window. Police filed charges by summons Monday from District Judge Robert Redlinger’s office.
