Police Beat Oct. 5

Driver injured: Joy Livtak, 49, of 219 W. College St., Canonsburg, was injured Tuesday morning when her vehicle collided with a vehicle driven by Donald Grim, 72, of 208 Greenwood Drive, Canonsburg, before hitting a utility pole at the intersection of West Pike Street and Hutchinson Avenue, Canonsburg police said. She was taken to Canonsburg Hospital for treatment.
Arraigned on burglary charges: John Adam Craig, 39, of 316 Second St., Vestaburg, was arraigned Tuesday before District Judge Jay Weller on charges of burglary and criminal trespass filed by Centerville police. He is accused of entering a home on Arch Street May 17 and stealing an air-conditioning unit. He was released on his own recognizance.
Girl injured: A 4-year-old McMurray girl was injured Monday morning in a three-vehicle crash on Washington Road at Linden Road, North Strabane police said. The girl, who was a passenger in a vehicle driven by her mother, Rachel Morgan of McMurray, was treated at the scene. The other drivers were identified as Scott Murphy of Upper St. Clair and Tina Moore of South Park. Morgan, 40, was charged with careless driving.
Warrant arrest: Charles Allen Perry, 57, of Pittsburgh, was taken into custody early Wednesday by North Strabane police on a bench warrant issued last month by an Allegheny County judge after Perry reportedly failed to appear to face drunken driving and other charges. Police noticed a parked car in the lot of North Strabane Town Center with two people inside about 1:52 a.m. after all businesses had closed. It was discovered Perry was wanted on a warrant.
False identification charge: Justin Florian, 38, of 265 Brookside Ave., Washington, was charged Tuesday by Washington police with false identification and public drunkenness stemming from an Aug. 17 incident in a parking lot at 104 E. Wylie Ave. He is accused of giving police a false name when they asked him for identification. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
