Town hall will address Greene Co. heroin crisis

Coalition for a Brighter Greene, Recovery Community Committee and Greene County Courthouse are sponsoring the third annual town hall meeting to address the opioid epidemic in Greene County.

The meeting, which will be held at 6 p.m. Oct. 26 in the courthouse, will address the link between mental health and substance abuse, according to an agenda that was released by the coalition. The meeting will include four speakers: Michael Crabtree, a psychology professor at Washington & Jefferson College; Dr. Morris Harper, who has a local practice; Thomas Schlosser, a local counselor; and Mathew Pelton, a representative from the nonprofit Teen Challenge.
