BRAVE – A father and son from Waynesburg are each facing drug charges after allegedly trying to sell marijuana with a 4-year-old child in the car with them Saturday night in Brave.

Greene County Regional police charged Tristan Michael Allen, 18, 171 Northwest St., and his father Christopher Michael Allen, 39, of 187 Northwest St., with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, criminal conspiracy and recklessly endangering another person.

Police said they received a tip that a drug deal was supposed to happen about 11:30 p.m. in the 400 block of Toms Run Road in Brave. Police said in a post on Facebook, “some of the vehicle’s occupants were negotiating a drug deal with a pedestrian.”

Police said there were four adults in the vehicle, and Tristan and Christopher were in the backseat with the child, who was in a car seat. Chief Michael Natale said the other two people in the front seats of the car were guardians of the child. He would not release their names, as charges against them are still pending.

As police approached the vehicle, Christopher was seen stuffing narcotics under the car seat, while his son, Tristan, tried to take responsibility by stating “everything was mine,” according to the criminal complaint. Police said they found several small bags of suspected marijuana packaged for sale, along with various pills and drug paraphernalia, including a crack pipe.

Police wrote on Facebook after the traffic stop, they searched a residence at 124 Orchard Ave., where the two unidentified adults and the child lived. Police said they found more marijuana, pills and drug paraphernalia in the house, along with a variety of knives and other weapons. Police said the home was “in an exceedingly dirty and cluttered condition.”

The child was released into the custody of his grandfather and Children and Youth Services will be monitoring the situation, police said.

Christopher is being held at Greene County jail on $15,000 bond, while his son, Tristan, is being held there on $2,500 bond. Their preliminary hearings are scheduled for noon Oct. 12 before District Judge Lee Watson.

Police said Greene County sheriff’s deputies assisted with the arrests.
