Washington police are investigating a stabbing at Lincoln Terrace that put a woman in the hospital Tuesday morning.

Police said they responded to Washington Hospital for the report of a woman in the emergency room with stab wounds to her side and shoulder. The victim, Princess Makokele, 37, of Washington, refused to provide details about the incident to police.

A witness to the stabbing told police she and Makokele were at a residence at 238 Lincoln Terrace about 9:10 a.m. when another woman started banging on the door. After the woman came into the residence, she attacked Makokele and using a steak knife to stab her multiple times, police said.

The woman then told the witness, “You’re next,” and fled, police wrote in a report. Police have a suspect but have not filed charges.
