Scrap metal theft: Joseph Eugene Fry, 20, of Ingram, and Amer Cehic, 20, of Bethel Park, were charged with theft, receiving stolen property, prowling and trespassing after state police said they attempted to steal $400 worth of scrap metal from a Hoy Hill Road property in Gilmore Township shortly before 6 a.m. Saturday. Police said the property owner heard a commotion outside of his home and called troopers after stopping them from leaving on all-terrain vehicles.
