The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating an incident involving a hot air balloon Saturday morning in the Bobtown neighborhood of Dunkard Township, a state police dispatcher said.

No one was injured in the incident, which occurred about 9 a.m. at St. Ignatius Catholic Church at 305 Grant St., the dispatcher said.

FAA spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen said the agency “is classifying the event as an occurrence at this time. Preliminary information indicates the wind blew the balloon into the church after it landed safely.”

Bobtown and Dunkard Township Volunteer Fire Department could not immediately be reached for comment Saturday.
