CALIFORNIA

Assault charges: Kevin Earl Bundridge Jr., 23, of 412 Walnut Ave., Scottdale, was charged by California Borough police with two counts each of aggravated assault and simple assault after he allegedly threw a full can of beer at two California University police officers Oct. 14. Police said the officers were conducting a traffic stop on Park Street when someone from 611 Park threw the unopened beer can at them. A witness reportedly told police he saw Bundridge throw it. Bundridge also was charged with obstructing administration of law enforcement, propulsion of missiles and disorderly conduct. A warrant was issued for his arrest. 

Theft charges: Jordan Cobbs, 18, of Pittsburgh, was charged by California police with theft and receiving stolen property after he allegedly was found in possession of a stolen cellphone that he was trying to sell Oct. 1 on California Road in Vulcan Village. Cobbs’ preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. Nov. 13, before District Judge Joshua Kanalis.

Disorderly house citation: California Borough police cited Trevor Troxel, 22, of 635 Park St., California, for allegedly having a loud party at his apartment Saturday night, in violation of the borough’s disorderly house ordinance. 

Disorderly house case: California police cited Kayla Bowman, 25, of 57 Temperance Way, California, for violation of the disorderly house ordinance after they said they smelled a strong odor of burning marijuana at her apartment on Oct. 17. 

CANONSBURG

Bench warrant arrest: Shaun Cunningham, 35, of Washington, was arrested by Canonsburg police just before 9 p.m. Sunday on multiple warrants out of Washington County Court and magisterial district courts. Police said they initiated a traffic stop at 8:55 p.m. on South Central Avenue. Cunningham is being held in Washington County Jail. 

DUI alleged in crash: Paul R. Shiring Jr. of 827 Frederick Court was arrested by Canonsburg police early Saturday morning following two crash reports. Police said they responded to the report of a damaged vehicle on Second Street about 3:20 a.m. Police followed a trail of damage and found another damaged vehicle on Moore Avenue. Police said they found Shiring in his pickup truck on Valeria Drive near Ross Street. Police said they smelled alcohol on him and said Shiring admitted to drinking at the French Club before driving home. Police said a breath test revealed that Shiring had a blood-alcohol content of 0.295 percent. Police said they expect to file multiple charges against Shiring. 

CARROLL

Aggravated assault charge: Alexander J. Pritchard, 21, of 665 Thompson Ave., Donora, was charged by Carroll Township police with aggravated assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, harassment and public drunkenness after he allegedly got into a fight with a police officer in an emergency room early Sunday morning. Police said they responded to the ER at Monongahela Valley Hospital about 12:42 a.m. for the report of a fight. Upon their arrival, they said they found Pritchard being held down on the bed by his mother. Police said Pritchard stood up and told police “don’t threaten me,” the criminal complaint said. When police tried to push Pritchard back onto the bed, he allegedly punched an officer in the chest. Police said Pritchard also said, “You want to go, let’s go,” the complaint said. Police said they put Pritchard in a headlock and eventually were able to take him in custody. Police said Pritchard appeared to be intoxicated and initially was brought to the hospital because he had been in a fight. Pritchard was arraigned by District Judge James Ellis and placed in Washington County Jail on $2,500 bond. Pritchard’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. Nov. 16 before District Judge Larry Hopkins. 

Theft charges: Tyler Comet Vayansky, 31, of 303 Second St., Monongahela, was charged by Carroll Township police with theft and receiving stolen property after he allegedly stole items from vehicles on Dunlevy Lane Friday evening. Police said more than $200 worth of items were stolen from vehicles parked in a field off Dunlevy Lane. Some of the items were later found in the street on Orchard Lane, the criminal complaint said. Police said an Orchard Lane resident reported seeing a man prowling around his vehicle. Police identified the man as Vayansky.

CHARLEROI

Warrant signed: Paul Labryer Sr., 42, of 404 Lookout Ave., Charleroi, is charged by Charleroi Regional police with burglary, theft, receiving stolen property, endangering the welfare of children and corruption of minors, court records show. Police accuse Labryer of taking a child with him to steal copper pipes from a vacant house at 806 Fifth St. about 3 p.m. Friday. District Judge James Ellis signed a warrant for Labryer’s arrest.

HOUSTON

Terroristic threats charge: Robert Albert Kuntch, 23, of 215 E. Grant St., Houston, was charged by state police with terroristic threats, simple assault and two counts of harassment after he allegedly grabbed his mother, then grabbed his girlfriend by the neck and held her against a wall, the criminal complaint said. Kuntch allegedly told the women that he would “blow everyone up,” while holding a knife to his wrist, the complaint said. Police said because of the nature of Kuntch’s threats, he was taken to the hospital and an arrest warrant was issued. 

MCDONALD

Simple assault charge: Alberto Moss, 23, of 153 Meadow St., Westland, was charged by McDonald police with simple assault and harassment after allegedly putting his ex-girlfriend, from Canonsburg, and another woman in a garbage container outside a bar early Monday morning. Police said the two women were at the Fox Hole about 2:15 a.m., when Moss entered and attacked them, shoving his ex-girlfriend and hitting the other woman in the face multiple times. Moss then allegedly picked them both up and put them in the trash container outside the bar. Police said the ex-girlfriend was not injured, but the other victim had multiple minor abrasions on her face. 

Assault charge: Shawn Douglas Zombeck, 38, of 336 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald, was charged by McDonald police with simple assault, disorderly conduct, harassment and public drunkenness after he allegedly attacked a man on Kay Street in the borough Sunday night. Police said Kelly McClelland was walking on Kay Street with two juveniles about 9:30 p.m. when Zombeck charged at him from the porch of a residence at 312 Kay St. Police said Zombeck tried to strike McClelland, but McClelland pinned Zombeck on the ground and waited for police to arrive. Police said that when they arrived, Zombeck appeared to be intoxicated. 

SOMERSET

Mailboxes found: Four stolen mailboxes were found Sunday morning on the side of the road near 4 Runway Lane, state police said. 

SMITH

Drug charges: Adele M. Kinkela, 42, of 1927 Smith Township State Road, Slovan, was charged by Smith Township police with three counts each of possession with intent to deliver and possession of a controlled substance, along with one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, after police arrested her Saturday afternoon on a bench warrant from Allegheny County for failure to appear for a preliminary hearing. Police initiated a traffic stop just before 1 p.m. on Smith Township State Road near Erie Mine Road. Police said they found three bags containing 6.7 grams of suspected powder cocaine, five straws with cocaine residue, two suspected Ecstasy pills, two Oxycodone pills, 10 methadone pills, 17 morphine pills and 14 other narcotic pills in Kinkela’s vehicle. Police said they also found 11 items of drug paraphernalia, including a digital scale, a mirror, bags, containers, a spoon, utility knife and a prescription bottle with a mixture of caffeine powder and benzocaine. Police said Kinkela admitted to selling cocaine to residents in Smith Township and Burgettstown. An arrest warrant has been issued. 

WASHINGTON

Theft: A woman in the 300 block of Prospect Avenue reported that her purse, identification and credit cards were stolen from her vehicle Friday night or Saturday morning.
