Liberty Tunnel closure planned
There will be overnight closures of the inbound Liberty Tunnel in Pittsburgh through Friday night, weather permitting.
The inbound tunnel will close to traffic from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Thursday night and from 8 p.m. Friday night through noon on Saturday as crews conduct electrical conduit work, fire suppression pipe installation and concrete repairs in the tunnel.
The outbound tunnel will not be impacted. McArdle Roadway will remain open in both directions. All inbound traffic will be detoured at the south portal of the tunnel.
Overnight work may occur on the Liberty Bridge. Additional information will be provided prior to the implementation of any restrictions.
Canonsburg tax office closed
The office of Canonsburg tax collector Robert Maceiko will be closed today through Nov. 7.
Water outage slated for today on Route 21 near Ryerson
Southwestern Pennsylvania Water Authority will shut off water on Route 21, west of Wheeling Creek Road, near Ryerson, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. today for system upgrades. Customers may experience a drop in pressure or no water and are advised to keep containers of water on hand to minimize the impact of the outage.
