Police Beat Oct. 30

Burglary: State police said an unknown person stole a pistol, binoculars and a flashlight from two unlocked vehicles parked in the 500 block of Lone Pine Road in Amwell Township just before 4 a.m. Oct. 8. Police said the person then stole a backpack with two gun holsters and ammunition from an unlocked garage in the same area.
Crash: A Williamsport man was taken by ambulance to Washington Hospital following a crash early Saturday on Interstate 79 in Amwell Township. State police said David W. Sanders, 21, was driving north about 12:28 a.m. when he drifted from the left lane into the median, striking a guard rail and overturning the vehicle. He was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries, but police said his passenger, Kirsten M. Sedlock, 23, of Williamsport, was not injured.
Batteries stolen: State police said batteries were reported stolen from multiple locations in October. Police said they received reports of theft from a tractor at the East Finley Township building on East Finley Drive between Oct. 20 and Friday; from several large excavators belonging to Burns Drilling of Wind Ridge between Oct. 23 and Tuesday at a construction site on S Bridge Road in South Franklin Township; and from several excavators belonging to Penn DOT from a construction site on Enon Church Road between Oct. 23 and Tuesday in West Finley Township.
