Meeting planned on bridge replacement
The community is invited to a public meeting on the replacement of a Route 88 bridge included in the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s Rapid Bridge Replacement Project.
The meeting about the bridge, on Brownsville Road (Route 88) over Peters Creek in Finleyville Borough and Union Township, will be held from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Sept. 19 at the Union Township Building, 3904 Finleyville-Elrama Road, Finleyville. During construction, drivers will be directed to follow a detour along Washington Avenue and Patterson Road. Truck drivers will be directed to follow a truck detour along Washington Avenue and Route 837 (Fifth Street).
A presentation will be given at the start of the meeting. Representatives from Plenary Walsh Keystone Partners will be available to discuss the bridge projects and answer questions. Construction plans will be on display for reference.
