Police Beat Sept. 9

Theft reported: The owner of Big D’s House of T’s, 582 W. Pike St., told Canonsburg police Thursday two men failed to pay her for T-shirts purchased from the business. One reportedly owes $294.50, and the other owes $173. Police said they will investigate.
Debit information stolen: Judi Rappe of Canonsburg told borough police Wednesday her debit card information was stolen and used to make withdrawals of $2,900 from her bank account.
Theft charge: Jerry Shane Summers, 27, of Bruceton Mills, W.Va., was charged this week by state police with retail theft for allegedly stealing meat valued at almost $100 from Interstate Foodland, West Chestnut Street, Canton. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Drug case: Charles Zachary Burnfield, 30, of Webster, Rostraver Township, is charged by the Washington County sheriff’s office with possessing seven stamp bags of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia at 714 Seventh St. while a deputy served an unrelated warrant about 10 a.m. Aug. 31. District Judge Larry Hopkins issued the case by summons Tuesday.
Man jailed: Kierre Williams, 22, of 432 Kenneth St., Donora, is charged by borough police with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct stemming from a disturbance in his neighborhood Thursday that resulted in police using a stun gun to apprehend him, court records show. District Judge Larry Hopkins sent him to Washington County jail on $100,000 bond.
Assault alleged: Jarrod Maurice Kelley, 39, of 27 Ash St., Ellsworth, is charged by state police with strangulation, simple assault and harassment over allegations he choked Genevieve Ball, 37, of the same address, about 9:30 a.m. Thursday at their residence, court records show. District Judge James Ellis released Kelley on $10,000 unsecured bond.
Driver injured: Barbara J. Cole of Claysville was injured Wednesday afternoon when her westbound vehicle crossed the center line in the 1500 block of Millers Run Road (Route 50) and collided with an eastbound vehicle driven by Matthew Scott Kutchell of Verona, Mt. Pleasant police said. She had to be freed from her vehicle by township firefighters. Cole was taken to Canonsburg Hospital for treatment. The road was closed for about two hours. Police are continuing their investigation.
Man charged: James Bernard Gluch, 63, of 831 Hill St., North Belle Vernon, is charged by borough police with driving under the influence of alcohol and causing damage to an unattended pickup truck after he allegedly crashed his vehicle into the truck about 6 p.m. Aug. 30 near his residence, court records show. The case was issued by summons Wednesday from the office of District Judge Charles Christner.
Theft case: Vincent Ambrosy-Wagner, 26, of 114 First St., Monongahela; Michael Allen May, 19, of 122 Westview Road, Carroll Township; and Stephen Tyler Amoroso, 20, of 23 Samson St., Belle Vernon, are charged by state police with theft, possessing an instrument of a crime, criminal mischief and trespassing, court records show. The charges stem from the thefts of a fire extinguisher and first-aid kit about 12:50 a.m. Aug. 14 from the Eighty Four Mining Co. coal preparation plant at 860 Vanceville Road. The office of District Judge Curtis Thompson issued the charges via summons Wednesday.
Gun found: South Strabane police were called Wednesday to Gabriel’s, 460 Washington Road, after a 9 mm handgun was found in the restroom. The owner, a Canonsburg man, later contacted police and told the officer he put it on the back of the toilet and forgot it.
Woman assaulted: Misty D. Danko of Washington told Washington police Thursday she was assaulted by an 18-year-old Washington woman who reportedly forced her way into a home at 265 Lincoln Terrace. The two reportedly got into an argument that turned physical. The alleged victim said she was struck on the side of the head and had an earring ripped from her ear. Charges are pending.
Counterfeit money: A manager at Goodwill, 89 Jefferson Ave., told Washington police Thursday a counterfeit $100 bill was found in the safe. He told police it might have been passed at the store two weeks ago.
Tools, cash stolen: Gary McMahon of 135 Henderson Ave. told Washington police Wednesday a multimeter tool, engine scan tool and $100 were stolen in a burglary of his home.
