A Langeloth man who was the focus of an investigation into the possession and distribution of heroin in the McDonald area was arraigned Friday on drug and theft charges stemming from incidents earlier this year in McDonald and Burgettstown.

Bryan Michael Skiles, 30, of 132 Eleanor St., is charged with possession and possession with intent to deliver heroin and possession of paraphernalia stemming from the alleged sale of the drug to a confidential informant at various locations in McDonald in March. He also is charged with retail theft and possession of paraphernalia after he allegedly stole cigarettes from Kwik Fill, 1604 Main St., Burgettstown, on April 4.

Police said they made arrangements with the informant to make the purchase of heroin from Skiles.

Police said Skiles had empty stamp bags believed to have contained heroin and a needle when he stole the cigarettes. He also was told he was no longer allowed on Kwik Fill property.

Skiles was arraigned on all charges before District Judge James Ellis and placed in Washington County jail on $30,000 bond.
